Power Generation: Solar or Generator?

One of the first things that comes to mind regarding how to deal with power outages, regardless of the cause, is solar power generation. Renewable energy is a great way to back up your homes major power supply, but there are a lot of obstacles and often high costs involved to build the system correctly. While this needs to be considered, and it will be covered in detail in a separate post, what can you do in the short-midterm to prepare your home and family for a power outage? First, I recommend you follow the guidelines within the basic prep blogs to prepare your family for basic needs. The second, is to follow the recommendations of a good friend of mine. As I’ve mentioned before there is a large community of preppers out there, and I am no expert on electricity. For this reason I have asked a fellow prepper to put together the following presentation and I must give credit where credit is due! Download the presentation below, take a look, and prepare yourself today!
